Virl, (Donnie and Marie Osmond’s oldest brother) is heavily involved in what he and his team are calling “The Virl Osmond Project”.

What is it? Very simply a way of combating the epidemic poverty that is killing the majority of the world right now.

It’s not a charity. This is all about gathering strong people who have decided to do something about their lives but still don’t know where to begin.

The way I see this project it’s all about easing people out of “employee mentality” – which is simply the idea that someone won’t do anything that they’re not getting paid for by the hour – and nothing else because they don’t have the inner motivation to better themselves any further than they absolutely have to.

I’ll admit that when I think of all the hands that get held out for someone to do their work for them and then pay them for it too… it sickens me a bit.

Not because I’m mad at the individual who’s holding out their hand (though I do think they should wake up) but I’m highly irritated with society for allowing it to come to this point.

Let’s look at the great aspects of this project.

The Virl Osmond Project:

* Focus: Fight epidemic level poverty by teaching people “how to fish”.
* Spread the wealth by teaching people how to get it for themselves.
* Create a strong network of individuals who are determined to improve their own personal ecomony and spread the love to help others improve theirs as well.
* Make it simple for the simplest person to captialize on the Osmond Family name to effect a major financial change in their lives.
* Strong marketing leaders and trainers to help our network of entrepreneurs succeed and become a strength to society.

The plan is to effect as many household as are willing to help themselves (and others) overcome the problems that our employee minded educations has thrust upon us.

It’s not just a USA problem either. This is an epidemic that reaches to the far corners of the world. But we aren’t without ways to escape. In fact, we have everything we need right at our fingertips.

For thousands of years people have been pulling themselves out of poverty with a positive attitude, wisdom, and good old fashioned hard work. Is it so difficult to believe that you could help someone do the same thing for themselves?

The beauty of what Mr. Osmond is doing here is that he’s not giving hand-outs. He’s giving people opportunity. Opportunity to improve their own character. Opportunity to change their lives from the inside out.

It’s incredible what changes are effected in an individual when given a chance to better themselves – especially when they’re use to doing as little as possible just to get by.

I’m watching this project closely, and looking forward to seeing the stories of change and success that arise as a product of consistently working along-side Virl Osmond on his amazing, valuable project of long-term change.

Mr. Osmond is currently inviting strong individuals with good people skills and some computer and internet experience to help him head up his project.
