I’m excited to be writing another Scentsy tip article. This one is focused on the all important topic of the pivotal stake that makes success possible.
Remember that there are a lot of keys to your success. Lot’s of things that you should absolutely be doing – but the stake that everything pivots around is focusing on one mentor (on voice) and mastering one marketing method.
You should be teaching what you do.
If you can’t narrow it down to something specific then you know it’s time to get some focus. Plant your stake and make the entire system you create pivot around it smoothly.
Remember that you’re not just in this to put money straight into your pocket.
Major Scentsy tip right here: In order to put money into your pocket long term you’ve got to get your head around the concept of being the solution to the problems of a specific community of people.
These are the individuals who are searching the internet for answers. The ones who are looking for a huge promise – and more specifically the person who will keep the huge promise.
Are you that solution person with the big promise that you are going to keep?
Of course you are.
Another major Scentsy tip: You don’t have to teach every kind of online marketing. Just pick one and get a move on mastering it.
That means you’ll be teaching your chosen marketing method and the mastery of it. How simple is that? (Very. I did it. I can attest to the power of it.)
Article marketing is the lowest cost lead generation technique I’ve seen. It’s fairly easy to master, and done properly you can get the search engines to absolutely love you and send you free traffic.
Which brings me to a Scentsy tip specifically about marketing a sales funnel that you’ve put together designed particularly to help anyone who comes your way to learn sound marketing.
If you learn it, and teach it, then you become the voice that people can listen to in order to learn the marketing solutions that they need, bring them through a sales funnel that shows them how to narrow it down and master the same marketing method that you’ve already mastered.
It’s very simple. The concept works.
Alright! Down to the nitty gritty… in a nutshell… *wink*
Number 1 Scentsy tip never to skip:
- Set up your sales funnel so that it can function for you while you get busy on your marketing.
If you don’t have a functional, complete sales funnel then you’re leads will have no reason to trust you and you won’t get any sales. It’s sad, but it’s true and you’ll be glad to know that a sales funnel doesn’t have to be that difficult to put together. I help people with them every week day.
Number 2 Scentsy tip never to skip:
- Duplicate your mentor.
This means you’re setting up a system that looks like theirs. Watch their videos and make your own that cover the same topics. Read their emails and write your own that are just as inspiring. Join their team and use their back-end training and then make your own that is just as great!
Also, if you’re not making any progress with Scentsy and your mentor is in something else and you know that following them will make the difference don’t be afraid to move around a bit. The point is to meet your goals – not to be so stubborn that you keep yourself from making progress.

Great article! Driving in the steak-that’s an wonderful metafor. How often are we blown around by the wind of want but never able to fly any higher than a few feet off the ground.
Several years ago my brother and I flew kits. Flying the smaller kits weren’t that difficult, however if you wanted to fly stunt kits and battle kits you had to get around others who could do it because there are cool tricks you had to learn to stop your kit from crashing to the ground.
Taking hold of those control lines and creating the wow factor that others marvalled at took pratice but man was it a blast.
Then we moved to the “big boys” Kits – parafoils. These were kits that are larger than you, I mean the largest that we flew was 12′ x 24′. My point is that when you are flying some thing bigger than you it has to be steaked down and there is a particular process that must be followed if you ever hope to get it in to the air and flying and it can not be done by one person.
I like it! A stake is like a post, has to be pounded pretty solid and deep into the ground before you can even think about stringing the fence and barb wire. So this is a great scenario Bronwen.
We have a farm in Texas, and our families put up many fences. If the post was not put in correctly, it affected the whole process of stringing the wire or the fence would lean and fall over, it was a pain, and we would have to start over.
Its the same with our Online Networking Business, we can’t have a solid success unless our stake is in firm and correct. Its worth taking the time to set up right the first time, rather than having to go back and do over, either way, don’t give up, like our fence setting days we stuck with it until we got it right.
