I am inspired. I have to admit it. When it comes to low cost lead generation the mentor that I follow is amazing. Today I was reading his blog, looking for a topic that I felt strongly about… I have writers block from time to time as well… and I found his post about declaring your intent to the world.
And it got me thinking about how embarrassed I was to be “the crazy mlm lady” back in the day of warm marketing. I would hold back and literally ooze forth negative vibes all over the people I came to be around.
Granted, I would never have admitted my discomfort at the time. I still knew I needed to do it. I just had an interesting relationship with the title “Network Marketer”.
You’re doing low cost lead generation too, right? Or at least you’re trying to figure it out.
I want to plant a seed for you today. A seed that I hope will change the way you feel about your business… if you feel any sort of embarrassment. Be honest.
First, I’d like to suggest that the aversion that you might feel comes from the fact that you aren’t spouting about what one of my students cleverly calls “You, Inc.”. You’re only talking about the company you’re in. You’re promoting them instead of using their compensation plan.
Shall I elaborate? You’re making too big a deal out of the company. YOU are the important part of your business. That’s a tough one to get your head around. Let me simplify.
For just a little while, plan on not saying much about your chosen company. Don’t try to tell anybody about the compensation plan. Just tell people that you’re a marketing teacher. See what happens. I think you’ll be surprised.
Then, after people start asking you questions about your business, declare your intentions to the world with confidence and conviction (and humor) by saying something like this: “I teach network marketers how NOT to bug people.”
That’s mine. Come up with something unique… awe, heck, just use mine. It’s an excellent way to spread the word. You’d be amazed how many people in your warm market will naturally gravitate toward you for help when you say something like that.
Declare it! What are your intentions?
What do you do? You do and teach low cost lead generation to anyone who wants to learn it! You can teach these techniques to anyone. Big business, small business, anybody. Watch your affiliate income and team growth soar.
When you start thinking of yourself as a marketing genius instead of a measly, nothing mlmer with (your chosen company’s name here) – well you’ll see.
Now is the time to make a few major changes to your thinking. Low cost lead generation on the internet means being bold. It means not hiding behind your company name.
I’d like to know if anyone has ever joined your business and produced on your team from you spouting “come join this company” on facebook? It certainly never worked for me. I highly doubt it works for anyone at all.

OK, I believe I got the picture. You are so right, I felt the same way, how can little ole me really make and impact on how not to bug people, yet at the same time, teach and share what will help them succeed as you have helped me. – HELLO -
Follow my marvelous mentor, read what she teaches, duplicate, especially when you have Brain Freeze. I did just that today, I read this article and it immediately helped me dig myself out of that frozen pit and get up on top of the mountain.
I cannot thank you enough, we have a great team, we lift each other up everyday and we are all continuing our wondrous climb to the top of the mountain!
