I wish I could say that I was easy to find information about Scentsy when I googled it to do my research for this article. It appears that most reps aren’t utilizing social media to share information about their product and opportunity.

(That’s okay, since generally it’s not the best way to lead in MLM. However, it does say something about the lack of serious recruiting efforts – even backward ones.)

But I really did have to work (lots of clicks) to find what little information I was able to share here on the internal workings of this company.

Let’s start at the top. The Scentsy Compensation Plan.

It’s pretty simple. The product comes first, of course, and consultants get 20% of their sales up to $1000 and 25% thereafter. After that each representative has the opportunity to accept between 2%-9% royalties from their own customers, and from their team, and of course as a Director that number decreases to .25%-3%.

Though the PDF I read didn’t really clarify that part.

It was very vague and really short, but it’s clear to me from looking at the company compensation plan PDF file that Scentsy encourages personal sales more than the duplication of the team.

All the best benefits are on up front, one time efforts. I didn’t see a single thing about production bonuses or anything of the sort.

Not so great for establishing a substantial income. Great for a Hobby!

Scentsy Products.

I can vouch for this personally since I’m a Scentsy customer myself. I love the products. They are inexpensive, last a long time, and I don’t have to worry about my kids getting burned if they climb up and mess around with the warmers that I have scattered throughout my home.

They have 45 different warmer styles to choose from. They’re almost all beautiful and a perfect fit into any home-maker’s desired result. What woman doesn’t want their home to look extra special. And with over 80 scents to choose from pretty much everyone can find something that tickles their nasal cavity (in a good way!).

I’m sad to say that most of what I’ve been able to find about Scentsy was just from cookie cutter websites. It was really hard to navigate my way around to find the information that I was looking for online.

I live in Scentsy’s home town. I see their logos all over the back windows and side panels of family cars. From looking through many, many cookie cutter websites I found that most of the representatives who are actively producing sales for the company are women with young children.

Overall I’m impressed with these tenacious women. They are fitting it in. They are excited about their products and because the products are inexpensive and of great quality, their customers come back again and again.

One thing it lacks is really great motivation to duplicate.

More consultants using and selling just enough to stay qualified equals more money for everyone even from the beginning. It also saves these amazing women from having to run all up and down the valley making deliveries every week.

To wrap it up – this is a company with tremendous potential. I wish everyone who participates great success!
