At your Scentsy meetings you get a big push to go and talk to everyone you know and ask them to buy from you. But I want to show you how the low cost lead generation techniques that I teach are a whole lot more comfortable than pushing product on your warm market.

(Psst! And here’s a secret. Your warm market will respect you as a business person if you do what I’m about to teach you. It’s AWESOME!)

Okay, it’s so simple. You know what I’ve taught you about teaching to recruit? Just turn that around and teach to sell too. Here’s what I mean:

Mega Scentsy Selling Tips:

  • Selling Tip #1: First of all remember that you need to be building a customer list. So this is still regular old low cost lead generation.

Make sure you have a webform on the page and include a call to action to either give them more information through getting on your list, or to click on your link to go and buy some scentsy stuff.

It’s easier to sell from your cookie cutter website, but unless things have changed you can’t send people to the page where they can buy something on your cookie cutter site – hopefully that’s changed. There use to be a redirect and we got a notice saying that they have to go through the home page in order to go deeper into the site.

If need be, you can stock up and sell from your home. Again – I really hope the replicated site has been adjusted to come into harmony with the times we live in. *wink*

  • Selling Tip #2: I have a few ideas about how to sell Scentsy product because my sister is a sister rep of yours. I’ll just share one because I like it the best and you know how I like to keep my articles short and to the point.

Target a “do it yourself” crowd to start. Show people how they can get candle wax and essential oils and create their own healthy wax.

This should be fairly simple: Make a video and show yourself melting the wax, putting in the oils, and pouring it into pretty molds to set.

The wax is nothing. It’s easy. Really, the important thing about Scentsy is the safe warmers. They don’t overheat the wax and your child can knock it over onto themselves without getting burned like with oil scents.

(Remember to learn how to do this correctly so you don’t put too much oil in.)

  • Selling Tip #3: Make sure you do some keyword research first so you target the answer to a specific need. Are there people out there who are looking to learn how to create their own candles? Wickless candles? Are they looking for a way to save money on their scents?

After you show them how to create their scents you show them a variety of different warming units from the small ones that plug into the wall, to the bigger ones that are also a great decoration. Explain all of the benefits that come with using one of these particular warmers instead of something else.

When you ship their warmer make sure you include some sample scents that a majority of people are bound to appreciate with your name and contact information – I would be a little more creative than just putting a sticker on the items.

  • Selling Tip #4: I’d recommend putting a whole greeting card in there, handwritten, thanking them for their purchase and welcoming their input on anything else they’d like to learn how to do.

3 USANA Success Tips to Help You Completely Dominate The Usana World

USANA, as you know, was founded in the 1970’s when warm market network marketing was all the rage and it worked… really well. Scam? Nope. This is a highly reputable company with excellent products and more distributors than I cared to research.

I’ve known several Independent representatives for this company – all mightily committed to their company and to their personal success. Most are still failing, however, simply because they “don’t want to become a sales person” and they really don’t understand the dynamics of being a business owner.

These people think in a way that actually promotes their failure in the end.

They don’t want to do what it takes to generate true all out success. And that means a lot more than a few hundred dollars per month. It can’t be only about the product. And it can’t be only about bringing in a team. It has to be about you as the leader and what you have to offer to your target market.

USANA Success Tip #1: If you want Success in any home business of this type it cannot be about the company or the product. You must make your business about you as the leader.

Example of what not to do: Spouting to one and all that the products are the end all be all and everyone who is sick should be using them for the rest of their life. Also a big “no no” is to present yourself the old fashioned way and tell everyone that you want them to join your downline so that they can become a millionaire. (This has it’s place but not at the top of the sales funnel.)

Example of what to do: Present your knowledge about the products in a way that is nonthreatening. My favorite way to illustrate this is to recommend teaching a class about how the body works and then at the end of the class offer easy access to a solution – your products. (The important thing is to make sure you don’t say that it’s the only product that can do the job or you’ll appear desperate and chase your audience away.) Additionally, teach classes about marketing to encourage people to follow your business leadership.

USANA Success Tip #2: Not to be redundant but… Become an educator.

If you create articles and videos to attract people to you via the internet, or even offline by putting your own educational videos on DVDs and passing them out to your closer warm market you’ll have a better chance of success in USANA both for recruiting and for product sales than you would if you follow the 1970’s approach.

What should you teach? That’s a very important question.

There are actually many different approaches you could take to teach marketing. There are a lot of different marketing methods. You have a choice to make as far as which one you choose to master and teach. I recommend online article and video marketing. It works. It’s very low cost lead generation and it’s easy for a beginner to duplicate.

USANA Success Tip #3: Use a funded proposal system.

I like online marketing. It’s a place where you can reach billions of people all at once and generate relationships all over the world. A funded proposal system is something that you can use to build up your lead base from the wide open mouth of education… the bottom line is that you’ll be able to benefit those who don’t want to join your downline and make money doing it. It’s a win win.

Funded proposal = you benefit from generic offers and you help more people thus creating more long term business friendships.

Well, that’s it for today. The basics remain the same. Marketing USANA is pretty simple as long as YOU let it be.  Just remember that simple doesn’t equal no work for you. Having a business is work. Plan to dedicate 3 hours per day so that you can get your work done. And plan to make a name for yourself. It’s unavoidable for leaders.
