Since you’re a network marketer you know that low cost lead generation and building a team go hand in hand. But what about beefing up the lead generation effort by involving the whole team in what needs to happen consistently?

Stick with me here, this is powerful. I want to tell you a quick story about what happened on the team I lead.

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, I was doing all of the free traffic generation activities that needed to happen… all by myself. I had an awesome blog – same one I have now – and I wrote lots of posts and pages to teach people everything I could about low cost lead generation… and it was a lot of work alone.

Then, after I had made some great training and used it for months and months, recruited several people and spent a lot of months trying to convince them that they could recreate my training themselves only to find that they wouldn’t do it – well, I had a marvelous idea.

Instead of making the beginners on my team build and rank their own blog when they didn’t know what they were doing, and instead of praying that they would go after their success from scratch when they just wouldn’t make the effort, I decided to share.

It turned out to be a brilliant idea! My blog turned into our team blog. For the team to use to generate the desired ranking of their lead capture pages. Everyone on the team could achieve their goals without having to monkey with the setup of their blog until they were really ready.

Every new person on my team could then use my recorded training in order to reach their lead generation goals. And we didn’t have to worry about the market getting inundated with the same kinds of site because pretty soon everyone has a good handle on what they need to do – because they were participating in the marketing activity just like they would be otherwise – and before long they were ready to make their own blog and training.

Our teams low cost lead generation efforts skyrocketed the benefits of what we were doing to get people to our sites.

It’s what you need to do for your team. It’s also a major benefit when you invite people to join you. The team works together! Literally. It gives a whole new meaning to teamwork in mlm.

I hope you got the point. It was a lot of hard work on my part. Lots of it. And as the leader it continues to be hard work. But it’s worth it to help my team be the producers that they want to be.

Some people just need to make money. They don’t want to be a big name. They just want to do low cost lead generation and bring people into their team so that everyone can make some money.

Make it easier for those folks. They need a leader, and you need a team full of people who work side by side toward a common goal.
