As a former representative of ACN Inc I really have a few things to say about them. So this article will be an insider review from an objective perspective.

I was in Spencer Hunn’s downline and I have to admit, aside from being a really young man who didn’t have much experience under his belt other than a veritable explosion of success – he really did inspire me.

From that first day I saw him dance onto the stage, made me laugh, and then proceeded to tell me his story of coming from humble beginnings as a kid who couldn’t stand having a job to MLM superstar extraordinaire… he was someone I wanted to be like in business.

However, there was a catch. I’m a mom and I’m in baby making mode and the entire team had no respect for that sort of lifestyle.

There was “no place for babies in a business meeting” etc. He was very down on what he hadn’t even experienced yet. It was frustrating.

I loved the phone service. It was just like any other phone service. It had the same amount of problems that my other local company had. I was unable to use their digital phone service very long because it would break up so much and drop my calls.

At one point when I was buying leads and trying to get them to join me my phone dropped someone about 5 times in 20 minutes and he said to me: “Isn’t ACN Inc a phone company?”

To which I replied that it is. And he responded with a comment about how bad the service is – he didn’t become a rep, or a customer. Who can blame him, eh? *wink*

I was very loyal to ACN Inc – although I became less loyal to my upline as time went by. They think there’s only one way to be successful and I knew that their way didn’t work for me, even though I kept putting people in front of them and they promised me my business was about to explode.

Suffice to say it never did as long as I was part of their support group.

This may be sounding sort of negative, but my overall experience with the company was really positive. If you can get on the right team you’ll do great. I wasn’t on the right team for me and that’s why I left it. And that’s good because the right team (like the one I joined after I left them) makes a whole lot of difference to your success in mlm.

I saw a handful of people succeed when they were with ACN inc. But I saw more people pretending to succeed. Truth is, telecommunications is a tough sell. It’s all pretty much the same and the customers you do come up with leave you when they don’t hear from you for 3 months.

It was sad to watch my upline, sideline, and downline struggle with the same difficulties that I was struggling with. Struggles that MOST network marketers come up against.

If you’re looking at ACN Inc make sure you consider the team you’re joining. Don’t buy into hype. Hype won’t help you succeed. (It’ll just energize you. And excitement without marketing knowledge ends up falling flat after a couple of phone calls to your warm market.)

Leadership is everything. You need someone who will allow you to ride on their coat-tails, and they need to know how to pass it back to you really well.

I still think ACN Inc is an excellent company. The compensation plan is really okay. It’s tough to get a bonus at first, but it can be done if you can recruit 5 people every single month.
